Return & Refund Policy – PrimeRide
Welcome to PrimeRide. This Return & Refund Policy applies to all purchases made through PrimeRide for automotive products, accessories, and electronic cleaning devices, including but not limited to the:
9000000RPH Powerful Portable Cordless Air Duster
By purchasing from PrimeRide, you agree to the terms below. This policy is designed to comply with applicable South African consumer laws, including the:
- Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 (“CPA”)
- Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002 (“ECTA”)
1. General Return Eligibility
Customers may request a return only if:
- The product is defective, damaged, incorrect, or not functioning as intended upon delivery;
- The product was materially different from what was advertised;
- The return request is submitted within the applicable return period below;
- The item is returned in accordance with this policy.
PrimeRide reserves the right to inspect all returned products before approving any refund, replacement, or exchange.
2. Cooling-Off Rights (Online Purchases)
In terms of Section 44 of the ECTA, customers purchasing online may cancel their order within 7 calendar days after receiving the product.
Conditions:
- The product must be unused and returned in substantially the same condition received;
- All original packaging, manuals, accessories, and included items must be returned;
- The customer is responsible for return courier costs unless the product is defective or incorrect;
- PrimeRide may deduct reasonable costs for damaged packaging, missing parts, wear, or usage beyond what is necessary for inspection.
Refunds under this section exclude:
- Delivery/shipping fees already incurred;
- Any damages caused after delivery.
3. Defective Products (CPA Warranty)
Under Section 56 of the Consumer Protection Act, customers are entitled to a 6-month implied warranty on defective goods.
If a product is found to be defective within 6 months of delivery, the customer may choose between:
- Repair;
- Replacement; or
- Refund.
This applies only where the defect is not caused by:
- Misuse;
- Improper storage;
- Liquid damage;
- Physical abuse;
- Unauthorized modifications;
- Normal wear and tear;
- Power surges or incorrect charging methods;
- Commercial or industrial overuse;
- Failure to follow usage instructions.
PrimeRide reserves the right to test and inspect the product before confirming the defect.
If testing reveals no defect, the customer may be charged:
- Collection costs;
- Re-delivery costs;
- Inspection/testing fees where legally permitted.
4. Non-Returnable Items
The following items are not eligible for return or refund unless defective:
- Used products showing significant wear;
- Products damaged by customer misuse;
- Products with removed serial labels or tampered components;
- Clearance or final-sale items clearly marked as non-returnable;
- Consumable or hygiene-related accessories once opened;
- Custom-branded or personalized products;
- Products damaged by incorrect voltage, charging equipment, or unauthorized repairs.
5. Condition of Returned Products
Returned products must include where applicable:
- Original packaging;
- Charging cables;
- Accessories;
- Instruction manuals;
- Protective inserts;
- Proof of purchase/order number.
PrimeRide may reduce the refund amount where:
- Packaging is damaged;
- Components are missing;
- The product has been excessively used;
- The item is returned in unsellable condition.
6. Return Process
To initiate a return, customers must contact PrimeRide support with:
- Full name;
- Order number;
- Contact details;
- Description of issue;
- Photos or video evidence where applicable.
PrimeRide may request troubleshooting steps before authorizing a return.
Unauthorized returns may be refused.
7. Refund Processing
Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method where possible.
Estimated processing times:
- 5–14 business days after inspection and approval.
PrimeRide is not responsible for:
- Banking delays;
- Third-party payment provider delays;
- Incorrect banking details supplied by the customer.
8. Exchanges
Exchanges are subject to:
- Stock availability;
- Successful inspection of the returned item.
If the requested replacement product is unavailable, PrimeRide may offer:
- Store credit;
- Alternative replacement;
- Refund where legally required.
9. Shipping Responsibility
Customer Responsible For:
- Return shipping for voluntary returns or cooling-off cancellations;
- Safe packaging of returned items.
PrimeRide Responsible For:
- Shipping costs for verified defective or incorrect products.
PrimeRide is not liable for products lost or damaged during unauthorized return shipping.
Customers are encouraged to use tracked courier services.
10. Product Use & Safety Disclaimer
The PrimeRide Cordless Air Duster is a high-powered electronic device intended for automotive cleaning and dust removal purposes only.
Customers must:
- Use the product responsibly;
- Follow all included safety instructions;
- Keep away from children;
- Avoid directing airflow toward eyes, skin, animals, or sensitive electronics;
- Avoid use near fire, flammable materials, or liquids.
PrimeRide shall not be liable for:
- Improper use;
- Negligence;
- Unauthorized modifications;
- Indirect damages;
- Loss of profits;
- Damage to third-party equipment caused by misuse.
Use of the product is entirely at the customer’s own risk.
11. Chargebacks & Fraud Prevention
PrimeRide reserves the right to:
- Refuse suspicious refund claims;
- Request identity verification;
- Deny claims involving abuse of return rights;
- Report fraudulent chargebacks or false claims.
Products returned with deliberate damage, missing components, or evidence of tampering may be rejected.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted under South African law:
PrimeRide’s liability shall be limited to:
- Repair;
- Replacement; or
- Refund of the original purchase price.
PrimeRide shall not be liable for:
- Indirect losses;
- Consequential damages;
- Loss of business;
- Vehicle damage resulting from misuse;
- Personal injury caused by failure to follow instructions.
Nothing in this policy limits rights that cannot legally be excluded under South African law.
13. Consumer Rights
Nothing in this policy is intended to limit or remove any rights provided to consumers under applicable South African consumer protection laws.
